上海建设路桥机械设备有限公司前身为上海建设机器厂。上世纪五十年代，曾以国务院陈毅副总理赞誉的“蚂蚁啃骨头”精神遐迩闻名。 一九八九年以上海机电实业投资有限公司为投资方，将上海建设机器厂与路桥（香港）有限公司合资经营。此后，几经增资，自1995年以来，现为投资1800万美元，注册资金1000万美元，沪方持股75%，港方持股25%。 公司主要开发、制造、销售破碎筛分设备、冶金设备、环保设备等机械。公司被认定为“上海市高新技术企业”、“上海市外商投资先进技术企业”。公司技术中心成为“认定企业技术中心”。 “山宝”牌商标被认定为“中国”、“上海市”，“山宝”牌破碎机被评为“中国产品”、“全国用户满意产品”。公司产品销往全国各地，并远销50多个与地区，是全国行业的龙头企业，列入“中国机械500强”、 “中业信息化500强”和“上海制造业企业50强”。
